Hello! My name is Porter and i am 12 years old. I live in Charleston and I saw the article on this great project in the Post and Courier this morning. I find it interesting that we both have a weebly site, even though mine is to keep in touch with friends. I have always loved reading, and we are fortunate enough at Charleston Day School, where I attend, to have an approximately 10,000 book library. I think that this project should get more word out. I feel for you and the students, and that is why I am going to the principal of my school tomorrow to tell him about your giving idea. Thank you for supporting these kids, and giving them a chance to fully understand the magic that books hold inside. Please comment on my website in the blog section if you need any help from our 200 students! I am sure that we would all be glad to help!

Is anyone there aware that Dolly Parton's cause is books for youngesters? I hope that you can contact her staff and make them aware of this project, I imagine that she would contribute in a large way if she were made aware of the situation.

I found your project via a post on one of my friend's facebook page.

I just wanted to say, "WOW!" I am amazed. What a BIG heart you have! AWESOME! It is great that you are thinking this way at such a young age! ..very impressed!

Also, I just had a thought. I have a custom wrapping paper business, and if you are interested in doing a fundraiser, I will donate $5 to your cause for every roll of wrapping paper you sell. You can then use that money to purchase books!

(by "custom" wrapping paper, I mean, it is monogrammed and personalized.)
